LeBron was dunked by Jordan Crawford, a sophomore at Xavier during a pick-up game at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It is assumed that LeBron was agreed for the dunk however Nike official Confiscate evidence of two videos of the dunk.

As Yahoo Puts it:-

It was assumed he was called “King James” because he reigns on the basketball court. But maybe LeBron James earned that nickname due to his tyrannical ways (in dealing with embarrassment).

Also CBSSports Says:-

“LeBron called [Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt] over and told him something,” Miller said. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’”

Cristal Taylor, ex-fiancee of NBA Star Dirk Nowitzki, claimed that she is pregnant with his child. Cristal is currently resting in Texas Jail on charges of forgery, fraud and breaking her probation, and her trial began on Monday.

Cristal Taylor told “Dallas Morning News” in an interview:-

“I didn’t tell him everything about my past, because I was afraid that he might leave me. Now I’m pregnant and alone and broke because he is my only source of income.”

Dirk Nowitzki is said to be in a state of shock ever since he heard this news of Cristal being pregnant. It will be really interesting to see how this story unfolds in the future.

Wayman Tisdale, a famous NBA Player and more famous jazz bassist died at age of 44 in the morning on May 15, 2009. He had played for the NBA Teams like the Phoenix Suns, Sacremento Kings and the Indiana Pacers however made a real name as a Jazz Bassist releasing eight albums. His Albums included In The Zone (1996), Decisions (1998), Face to Face (2001), Presents 21 Days (2003), Hang Time (2004), Way Up (2006), Rebound (2008).

He died after discovering a osteosarcoma when he fell down the stairs which uncovered a cyst and also made him loose his leg. More than a player or a musician he will be remembered as a great human being as his Oklahoma coach Jeff Capel told the FOX News. He said,”He’s one of the best human beings I’ve ever been around in my entire life this morning.Anyone who’s ever met him is hurting today because he made you feel special.”

His distinguished career included being a three-time All-American at Oklahoma and 12 seasons in the NBA and also being a good musician.

The New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson has beaten defending champion Dwight Howard at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest 2009.

The Associated Press Reported,”Nate Robinson tugged on Superman’s cape — and won. The diminutive New York Knicks guard beat defending champion Dwight Howard of Orlando in an electrifying slam dunk contest on Saturday night, winning 52 percent of fans’ votes.

Clad in an all-green Knicks uniform with green shoes, Robinson used Howard as a prop in the final round, springboarding over the 6-foot-11 center to jam.

“Dwight was a great sport letting me dunk over him,” said Robinson, who also won in 2006.”

Nate Robinson won the Slam Dunk for the second time this year as he has won it in 2006 the last time. Interestingly Robinson is NBA’s one of the shortest players standing only at 5′8″ inches(173cm). Read the rest of this entry »

Reese Witherspoon was out with Jake Gyllenhaal for a Los Angeles Lakers Vs Portland Trail Blazers game at the Staples Center on a wekend on January 4, 2009.

The lovely couple was accompanied by Dreamworks Co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and Los Angeles Lakers seemed to be very much inspired by this star studded support as they went on to win the game 100-86.
