President Barack Obama was on Letterman on Monday Night and the whole talk show revolved around two topics racism and Healthcare and there was amazing chemistry (sens of humor) between Obama and Letterman which came absolutely free.

Letterman started with recent racist remarks mentioning the Jimmy Carter comments in the media. On which Barack replied, “It’s important to realize that I was actually black before the election.” He also mentioned the names of the previous president like JFK, Ronald Regan who also went through tough phases when they tried to take some steps out of the box.

He further said,”The American people, I think, gave me this extraordinary honor. That tells you a lot, I think, about where the country is at.” On Healthcare  issue some serious discussions was held on the show.

On a less serious note about another serious topic — health care — Letterman said that when he doesn’t feel good he goes to the CBS nurse. Obama said everyone should have a nurse, but the problem is nearly 30 million people lack insurance.

In hitting familiar notes about his health care plan, Obama said many Americans are confused by misinformation from opponents. “They’re scared of the devil they don’t know,” he said.

In a discussion of foreign policy, Obama said the military remains on pace to withdraw troops from Iraq, though “Afghanistan is a real difficult situation.”

Before sending any more U.S. troops, Obama said he wants to make sure a new Afghanistan strategy is worthy of the risks. He said the main threat in Afghanistan remains “extremists who want to kill innocents.”

President Barack Obama called the much disgraced rapper Kanye West a “jackass” on Monday in an off-the-record comment during an interview with CNBC, an ABC News anchor reported on Twitter. Obama absolutely didn’t like it when he grabbed the microphone from Taylor and told her in front of the packed house that Beyonce has a much better video than hers.

As ABC News anchor reported on Twitter:-

“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass‘ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,” “Nightline” co-anchor Terry Moran wrote Monday evening to his more than 1 million followers. However the news network had to issue an imidiate apology for the remarks made offline by Obama

An ABC spokesperson said, “In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview,” Politico reported. “This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.”

Well the Kanye controversy doesn’t intend to end just now. Barack Obama is also a part of it now and so who’s next on the list???

Obama School Speech in Virginia can be said as a success, as the president did his every bit to impress and inspire the high school children. He told children not to spend the whole day before Xbox or TV and try and concentrate on studies.

He tried to explain them how his mom used to wake him up at 4:30 a.m. in the morning to study and he told them if you work hard now, your life will be easier later. And of course the children were applauding him almost every children. He also told them how lucky they are to get to go to the school as his mother couldn’t afford sending him to the school where an Average American Child used to go for education.

Obama almost convinced the children to treat their parents and grandparents with respect. Overall Obama told them to put in all the hard work to succeed in life as he found hard work is the only way to success.

Van Jones, The White House Environmental Adviser resigned after battling controversy for weeks for what he has done in his past. He said he was really hurt by the attack of the opposition members and can’t continue with his job.

Van said, “On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide. I have been inundated with calls — from across the political spectrum — urging me to ’stay and fight. But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future.”

He recently came under attack for questioning the former republican government for questioning whether they actually let 9/11 happened so that USA could attack Afghanistan and thats why he had to resign for his extremists views, according to Rep. Mike Pence.

I believe its a one more blow to the Obama company. When Barack is trying so hard to get US out of the recession and restore its financial position, its really unfortunate that he has to handle such ill fated events.

President Barack Obama was greeted with cheers when he entered University of Notre Dame, considered to be America’s foremost Roman Catholic University, for the commencement ceremonies on Sunday, while there were somewhat 100 protesters waiting to protest around the campus. It’s far clear that the country is divided over abortion and stem-cell research.

Even the President supports the abortion but insists that procedure should be rare. There were many signs like “Shame on Notre Dame” and “Stop Abortion Now” at the university gate. Even few students wore graphic T-shirts showing the picture of a baby throwing in the trash can. There were around 19 arrests already made on Saturday.

The real confusion is over the women have the right to terminate a pregnancy and that unused embryos created outside the womb for couples who cannot otherwise conceive should be available for stem cell research.Such research holds the promise of finding treatments for debilitating ailments. Within weeks of taking office in January, Obama eased a Bush administration executive order that limited this research to a small number of stem-cell strains that existed when President George W. Bush issued his stem cell directive.

After Obama’s entertaining speech it was time for Comedian Wanda Sykes to have a dig at the President himself.

Wanda Sykes Said,”It’s funny how they never caught you smoking, but they somehow always catch you with your shirt off,” Sykes said, referring to the numerous photos of Obama’s toned physique. “I know you’re into this whole transparency thing, but I don’t need to see your nipples … there was never a nipple portrait of Lincoln!”

She also didn’t forget to mention the names of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh who have been Obama’s worst critics.

She further said,”I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on OxyContin he missed his flight,” Sykes said. “He needs a good waterboarding – that’s what he needs.” She also told the gathering that Palin was about to attend the dinner however pulled out at the last minute.

Sykes Said,”Somebody should tell her that’s not really how you practice abstinence.”

Sykes became the first African-American women and the first openly gay person to ever perform jokes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Wanda also created history yesterday to be the first African-American woman and the first openly gay person to ever perform jokes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

US President Barack Obama laughed at himself and others too at the recently concluded annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. He took playful digs at his frequent use of a teleprompter.

Well when he was poking fun at himself then how can he leave any republican out of hit. So Barack made former Vice President Dick Cheney his target of the day and joked on him in a good spirit.

Obama said,”Dick Cheney could not make the dinner because he is writing his memoir, How to shoot friends and interrogate people.” He said this with reference to the incident when Mr. Cheney once accidentally shot and injured a friend while on a hunting trip while he has robustly defended the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

The dinner was also attended by celebrities such as Natalie Portman, Sting, Steven Spielberg and Jon Bon Jovi to raise money for charity.

Elizabeth Edwards has at last decided to come forward and reveal her husband’s much maligned affair with former campaign videographer Rielle Hunter in a new memoir “Resilience: Reflections on the Burdens and Gifts of Facing Life’s Adversities (Broadway Books).” She said that she already had an idea about her husband’s affair and also told him to quit campaign.

Mrs. Edwards did not write a cutthroat book that harshly attacks those who betrayed her. In fact, Edwards does not once use the name of John Edwards’s mistress, Rielle Hunter. But she describes the aspiring videographer as “pathetic.” The book also talks about her husband’s lies and her immediate reaction to his confession of betrayal.

“I cried and screamed, I went to the bathroom and threw up,” writes Edwards, 59, who is terminally ill with cancer.

While Daily News got a copy of the book pre-publication Reported:-

Her own life may be tragic, she concludes, but Hunter’s is ‘pathetic.’ Even when Edwards confessed to his wife, he lied, claiming he had slipped up just once, Elizabeth writes. His original version of the story ‘left most of the truth out,’ she writes. While Elizabeth still hasn’t fully come to terms with her man’s roaming, the memoir is laced with a powerful dose of forgiveness. ‘I lie in bed, circles under my eyes, my sparse hair sticking in too many directions, and he looks at me as if I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. It matters,’ she writes.

John was pretty much forced to admit that he hit that after that incident, though he still denies paternity. Elizabeth does not address this in the book.

Elizabeth also takes aim at Rielle, whom she never identifies by name, in writing that Hunter initially seduced her husband outside a fancy New York hotel by giving him the time-honored compliment, “You are so hot.”

Well i am happy the truth is coming out and Mr. John Edwards, I really used to like you but now you’ve maligned your image in people’s eyes. Now you better take care of your wife.
