Quantum Of Solace Tops Box Office Charts Across North America

The Latest James Bond Flick “Quantum Of Solace” opened at the the top of Box Office across North America, garnering more than 70 million US Dollars over a three day period, a record for the popular 007 series.

The 22nd Bond film had the highest gross opening for a James Bond Movie ever in the United States and Canada with 73% more share than the last flick “Casino Royale“. Mamma Mia wins Hearts Of MOMMAS Overseas

Forget the fanboys and their comic-book movies, it’s time to hail a long-neglected fan base-the mature women who kept “Mamma Mia!” on top in the international market for the fifth week in a row.

One woman in Germany is reported to have seen the ABBA-inspired musical romance more than 70 times.

Thanks to a top-of-the-market bow in Italy (2.6 million U.S. dollars) and strong holdovers, “Mamma Mia!” pulled in 13.6 million dollars over the weekend from 44 territories, lifting its foreign gross to 377 million dollars. After 13 weeks in Britain, it ranks at No. 4 and has reached a market gross of 123.2 million dollars.

Among recent newcomers, the political thriller “Eagle Eye,” added 17 markets, recording 8.2 million dollars from a total of 26 markets and raising its total to 15 million dollars. The Ben Stiller comedy “Tropic Thunder,” pulled in 5.1 million dollars from 31 markets to lift its total to 49.2 million dollars. More »

The Dark Knight Crosses $500million at Box Office

The Dark Knight has become only second movie in the Box Office History to cross that magic figure of $500 million. It became the second film to gather that much of amount at the box office. Now Titanic is the only film which is ahead of The Dark Knight with  $600,788,188 in all time collections.

During the past weekend Ben Stiller starrer Tropic Thunder again emerged as a winner for the third consecutive week earning $14.3 million and Babylon A.D. is lagging behind at the second with top earnings of $12 million, while The Dark Knight stays at the third spot with $11.2 million.
