anoop

Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds are officially out of the Greatest American Singing competition “American Idol.” The day before their ouster sang in the “Disco” round and failed to impress American People to get enough votes to stay in the competition.

And as expected the Blogospehre went on fire after the exit of Anoop Desai as most of them including me that Anoop was one of the best ever singers in the competition and was a major contender to win American Idol. It’s a shock and pity as well that we couldn’t do justice to this immensely gifted singer just because he belonged to some different race.

So here are some reactions from the Blogosphere:

As Rickey puts it,”Anoop is a really smart guy. He sounds like he really takes his craft very seriously. Kinda reminds me of Phil Stacey actually. Anyway, I do hope he gets to do what he wants. There is a danger that he might get caught up in the “Idol euphoria” of post-Idol and the tour specially — and then come out empty handed come November. If he sets his expectations correctly and plans a realistic course for the next few months, we may see a record from him.”

The unofficial Anoop fans site says, “As one door closes, another one opens. That is a fact that we should all keep in mind, Nooper Troopers. Anoop may have gotten the boot tonight, but we all know in our hearts that he is an American Idol. I am writing this post to send my message to Anoop. I am very happy that he is going back home to his beloved Chapel Hill, but he sure better get ready to get interviewd by many people and attend many shows.”

Msnbc Puts it,”Anoop did not look surprised when Ryan told him he was gone, though he wasn’t thrilled with the news. Having been in the bottom three more often than not all season, he had to figure this would happen sooner or later. “I’m still really disappointed,” the University of North Carolina student said, “but now I have to look at the bright side — I’m going back to Chapel Hill.”

Before i close this post i must say one thing that Anoop’s faith was betrayed by all the four judges in the competition including the producers from the show who tried their bit to keep him away from the limelight and you can see its example in the Ford Ad. Perhaps they couldn’t swallow  a brown skinned man winning “American Idol.” They definitely forgot that we live in a world’s greatest democracy. But i definitely thank American People for keeping Anoop in the competition for this long.

So this was the end for Anoop desai at least in this competition however he has many things to look up to and he shouldn’t forget that he is immensely gifted and talented singer and i am sure we will hear many Hit Albums from this upcoming R&B Singer.

Please Don’t forget the videos of Anoops’ Last performance on the show and Annop’s interview on American Idol Extra after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

anoop-desai

Our very own Anoop Desai sung Donna Summer song “Dim All the Lights,” on the American Idol 8 Disco night. Even though it didn’t look like he was at his best but it was more than good to impress all the judges except (You know it right….) Simon Cowell.

This is what all the judges had to say about his performance.

Kara: I thought it was a great song choice! Sort of a ballad feel which is really a strong suit for you and I really liked the beat for me it sounded like it could actually be on the radio! I really liked that! The last two weeks your best performances. You’re really hitting your stride! Nice work, Nice changes, good vocals.

Randy: Little bit of a rough last note.but let me say this man, what I’ve been saying all night. What I’m happy about, is sometimes we forget this is a singing competition, the arrangement and all this kind of stuff, I didn’t really love this one either even though you were trying. Cause sometimes it makes these songs that are cool kind of corny in a weird sort of way. It’s kind of dicey with the arrangement. But dude you can sing also! This top 7 dude is so talented vocally that I’m happy to see your vocals. Me and Kara are sitting here going he hit that note and that note! Anoop! Nice baby nice!

Paula: I got to tell you, Anoop the look tonight, the growth, I got to tell you.. you look fantastic and I can say.. Real mean know how to wear pink! They really do. And no one can deny how beautiful your vocals are when at the start of the song it was just that magical zone in your voice and when it went uptempo I actually saw you enjoying yourself! Smile More! You’ve got beautiful teeth! Smile more! Good job!!

Simon: Once again I’ve got to completely disagree. That was mediocre at best. Sorry I’ve prayed that the tempo wasn’t going to come in and it did, it was a horrible version of that song. And honestly that was your worst performance by a mile.

You please listen to the song below and decide whether the judges were really right in their opinion. You can watch Anoop’s performance of the night below after the jump.

Anoop Desai once again proved that he is way ahead of the lot by singing “Everything I Do, I Do It For You,” a Brian Adams classic from the movie Robin Hood on a night Quentin Tarantino made his presence felt.

Anoop really rocked and got a nod from all the judges Randy and Kara as only two judges are allowed to speak due to time limitations.

As Seattletimes Puts it,

Randy: “You are rockin’ the house. You had some emotion jumpin’ off in it.”
Kara: “It’s pop songs and adding some soul to it. Probably one of your best performances. I felt connected to you.”
(Only two judges’ critiques after each singer tonight because of time issues.)

It’s the second straight week of raves for Anoop. He’s back in the thick of things.

Go Anoop Go…..

Don’t forget to watch a video of Anoop’s Performance on American Idol below.

Anoo desai american idol super 8

Anoop Desai showed his True Colors to American People when he sang “true colors” in his last performance in the nation’s biggest singing competition.

I am really upset with judges when it comes to Anoop. I mean they always have something bad to say about him. It really doesn’t matter how good he performs on the day. However for a change Anoop gathered praises form all the four judges this time.

Randy said, “Very nice vocal…I like that, dude!” Kara Said, “You controlled the song; you didn’t let it control you.” Paula said, “Choice of song was flawless, and you showed your true colors; fantastic.” And the ever critical Simon Said, “You’re like a singing yo-yo…one minute you’re down, the next you’re up.”

As per judges, Adam Lambert was the performer of the day for his version of “Mad World”. Well if you ask me he came nowhere to what Anoop sang on that day.

I really don’t know whether this time Anoop is going to survive as American People seems to follow what judges tell them.

In case if Anoop Survives the scare then please keep voting for him on 1-866-IDOLS-04. Watch Anoop performing Song True Colors on American Idol just after the jump.
