celebrity fashion at the academy awards

Now All the Hype and Hoopla regarding the Oscar awards is over, I thought I’ll try and analyze just concluded 81st Annual Academy Awards and try to put forward how ShowStalker looks at it.

We’ll start with Hollywood’s Golden Couple Brangelina. Angelia Jolie looked stunning in an Elie Saab gown, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Ferragamo shoes and a Lana Marks bag while Brad Pitt donned a classic Tom Ford tux and David Yurman ring, cufflinks, and shirt studs. Angelina was nominated for Best Actress role in Changeling and Brad was for Best Actor for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The heavy bottom babe Beyonce Knowles who was wearing a strapless floor-length and equally skin-tight black beige with highly attractive Golden Work on it. As usual Beyonce was looking like a girl next door to me on the red carpet. She has always been my favorite.

Penelope Cruz was wearing a strapless floor-length white gown with lots of threaded designing done on it with a enough room to show her beautiful cleavage. Penelope was also donning a trademark Oscar white glittering diamond necklace with a equally golden colored purse in her hand. And What a day she’s had…Penelope also won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”

Anne Hathway wore a silver Armani Prive gown and walked the red carpet in Casadei 1616 pumps in a custom silver tone.Anne rocked with Hugh Jackman (who looked equally dashing in Black Suit) on the Oscar Stage when they performed a duet song together to introduce this year’s Nominees. And No doubt the Audience was thrilled to see their performance. Anne was also nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in “Rachel Getting Married.”

Please Have a look at the Celebrity Fashion Pictures at the Oscars after the Jump…Enjoy… :-)

Kate Winslet Won the Oscar-2009 for her role in the film “The Reader” at the 81st annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles, California, February 22, 2009.

Kate was acknowledged for her role in a film based on post-WWII Germany where she fell in love with a boy almost less than half of her age. In her speech a composed Kate thanked husband Sam Mendes and children Mia, 8, and Joe, 5, for loving her just the way she is.And in an unconventional moment, she shouted out to her father Roger and asked him to whistle so she knew where he was.

Kate Said, “I think we all can’t believe we are in the category with Meryl Streep at all. To the academy, thank you so much. I’d be lying if I haven’t made a version of this speech before,” she said. I think I was probably 8 years old and staring into the bathroom mirror and this (Oscar) would be a shampoo bottle. But it’s not a shampoo bottle now.”

And she also thanked her father, saying, “Dad, whistle or something ’cause then I’ll know where you are.” He whistled back from his seat at the Kodak Theater. You just don’t think that these dreams that seem so silly and so impossible could ever really come true.”

Kate Winslet continued her fairytale by bagging The Best Actress Award for her role in the film “The Reader” at the Orange British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA 2009) in London on September 8, 2009.

Kate Winslet was present at the Awards show fighting the rough weather and looked pretty ecstatic after bagging the award for The Best Actress.

However Kate looked better prepared with her speech this time around than her Golden Globe Awards Speech.

Kate Said, “Okay! Thank you very, very much.”

“To be given this award at home, this really means a great deal to me. Thank you Bafta, thank you. I want to thank everybody involved in the making of this film. They all know who they are and they all deserve a big fat piece of this. I want to thank my friends and my family, especially my mum and dad, who I will not look at right now, otherwise I will burst into tears. Thank you mum and dad so much for your love and support.

I want to share this with two producers on this film, I know I’m not alone when I say I can’t believe they’re no longer with us, Anthony Minghella and Sydney Pollack. You are much missed today, and you will be much missed for many years to come, and this is for you. Thank you. Thank you.”

Kate Winslet was nominated for Two Awards this time, including Best Supporting Actress and Best Lead Actress.
