Well there is one more award for Dark Knight as the film topped a film of the year poll conducted by cinema experts Perl & Dean. The film won by more than a one third of majority by the people who voted for Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight”.

And also the film is set to sweep Oscar next year as currently this is the only film which is able to impress the viewers more than any other film this year, as Heath Ledger has already picked up a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice film award nomination for his portrayal of the Joker.

The poll was conducted across more than 3,000 people  where Dark Knight emerged on top, Mamma mia came second and Iron Man and the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace remained distant third.

The Latest James Bond Flick “Quantum Of Solace” opened at the the top of Box Office across North America, garnering more than 70 million US Dollars over a three day period, a record for the popular 007 series.

The 22nd Bond film had the highest gross opening for a James Bond Movie ever in the United States and Canada with 73% more share than the last flick “Casino Royale“. The good opening at the Box Office also meant that the movie now earns $ 250 million worldwide in the last two weeks for the Sony – MGM jointly produced movie.

Casino Royale is the only Bond movie with no dancing women in its opening sequence!

Before shooting the classic golf match scene in Goldfinger neither Frobe nor Connery had ever played the game before.

Goldeneye actress Izabella Scorupco demanded that she be called a ‘Bond Woman’ because she thought the term ‘Bond Girl’ was demeaning. But seven years later, in 2002, the Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, above, said that she was delighted to be described as ‘a Bond babe’ when she starred in Die Another Day.

Spartacus star John Gavin was signed up for the role of 007 after George Lazenby quit, but he was paid off when Sean Connery decided to return one more time for Diamonds Are Forever.

Among those who have composed Bond songs that were never used are Pulp (with Tomorrow Never Dies) and Alice Cooper (who made his own idiosyncratic version of The Man With The Golden Gun).

Julie Christie was originally considered for the part of Domino in Thunderball but producer Harry Saltzman turned her down because he thought her bust was not ample enough.

The influence of the Bond films is so great that Nasa was thrilled to let 007 give the world its first view of the Space Shuttle in Moonraker – two years before the launch of the real thing.

For her role in A View To A Kill, American star Tanya Roberts insisted on having a crate of shampoo and beauty products shipped over from California.

Many were puzzled by the title Die Another Day. The phrase came from the poem cycle A Shropshire Lad, by A. E. Housman: ‘But he who fights and runs away/lives to die another day… ‘

Following Quantum Of Solace, only two more original Fleming titles are left, both from 007 short stories: Risico and The Hildebrand Rarity. Try getting a song out of that.

There was some embarrassment at For Your Eyes Only’s Royal premiere, which was used as a fundraising event for the Year of the Disabled. The film featured as its opening scene a villain in a wheelchair being picked up by Bond’s helicopter strut and then being dropped down an industrial chimney.

The new bond girl of Ukrainian origin actress Olga Kurylenko is all set to sizzle the audience in various brewer Heineken TV commercials and print ads. Miss Olga Kurylenko who plays the deadly bond girl in the upcoming James Bond flick “Quantum Of Solace” will be the star attraction to aired in over 40 countries.

Olga Kurylenko told the press,”I am delighted to support Heineken’s global Quantum of Solace marketing campaign. Heineken has done a great job in making James Bond, Camille and the world of Bond connect with their iconic international brand.”

Olga also received certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival. Also she was quite vocal of her chance of being able to strip before the new Bond Daniel Craig.

Well i must say this girl is multi-talented. What do you think?????

James Bond fans have started to expect so much out of the 007 stunts that Daniel Craig has to risk life and limb for his role as a super spy.

The Hollywood hunk himself insists that his predecessors had it easy because action sports and daredevil pastimes are much more extreme than they ever used to be.

And Bond has to be seen to be more of an action man than film goers” neighbors and friends.

“How do you impress people when there are couples who go away on weekends… and camp out on top of a mountain and jump off?” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

“They even film it so they can show their friends. “Everything has to be bigger, faster and more dangerous,” he added.

In related news Daniel Craig has been chosen on the cover of Esquire November 2008….
