Michael Lynch’s This Woman’s Work was a big hit on American Idol Season 9 as Top 8 guys from the show sang to impress the audience and win their votes to be in American Idol final 12. Michael Lynche aka Big Mike moved the audience with his amazing rendition of Maxwell’s version of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.”

Ellen DeGeneres said Mike is the guy to beat as everyone felt his was the best performance of the night. Simon Cowell said they needed a performance like that after a boring show with guys singing with their guitars, while Kara DioGuardi was crying and could barely speak.

….It brought Kara DioGuardi to tears and had Simon throwing out his coveted “You’re the one to beat” line. For all intents and purposes, Big Mike took the lead on Wednesday night. Ruben Studdard redux?
