Except maybe for the cat scratches all over his body, the sharp cutting instruments found in his room and his car, his proximity to many crime scenes, his obvious excitement when describing animal dissections he performed in class, his laughter when asked about the crimes…

This goes to Wowthestory who seems to defend this kid as if he was related to her. This was not something to take lightly and instead of trying to cover up what appears to have been done by this boy, you ought to step back and think that perhaps he did do it. Certainly deserves a fair trial but things do not look very good. If he did do it, he should get what he deserves and freedom should not be on the top of the list. If he didn’t do it, then he has nothing to worry about. And as far as sadistic, what about the poor innocent cats and the families of those pets who had live this? Maybe if it had happened to your pet, you may think differently!

you people are TEN TIMES AS SICK AS WHOEVER COMMITTED THIS CRIME. There is no PROOF that he ACTUALLY DID the crime but you want to do all Kinds of SADISTIC things to him. This is similar to Europe in the middle ages when all you had to do was ACCUSE someone of witchcraft and that person was burned at the Stake regardless of the fact that they were NOT witches.So many innocent lives were lost. OR black men who were ACCUSED of Raping white women in the DEEP SOUTH and Lynched. He is ACCUSED not PROVEN. We have not come far at all.

I think that evil smirk on his face indicates that he has committed other crimes that the police haven’t found out about. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that he has already started perpetrating his atrocities on humans as well as animals.

Anyone who could perpetrate such evil needs to be locked up forever. I agree with some posters here…..he may have already killed a child; maybe and probably more than one.
Someone this evil, angry, and permanently twisted will prey on any living creature that cannot defend itself from sadistic freaks like this. He enjoys the pain of others…..that will never change.
I can’t believe he’s out on bond. Certainly his dentist dad’s business is suffering…..if I heard my dentist spermed such evil spawn, I’d never go back to him. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
What a piece of crap waste of life this evil punk is. I’d like five minutes alone with him.
Rot in hell during your lifetime here, freakish scum. Two minutes alone with him, that’s all I ask.

BTW, to those few of you who think animals and pets have no value, a recent AP poll showed 50% consider pets to be a full member of the family and another 36% consider them at least partial members of the family.

That’s 86% placing quite high value in their pets. So, it doesn’t matter what you think, to them — 19 of them (actually more, several I’m sure were multi-family households) — they were loved members of the family. Members tortured and returned to them dismembered.

This dude is scum. Gets off on the suffering of another (animal or human, getting off on something suffering is SICK), violated 19 families, taunted them, and stole from them. Even if you aren’t a pet person, that’s THEFT. Anyone who steals from 19 people deserves to be locked up for a long time. Then add the cruelty aspect.

You few who think he should get off easy are subhumans, I’m not always with the moral majority, but this is a slam-dunk case — he’s scum.

The writing’s on the wall, I hope this kid’s jury will read it. For whatever reason this killer has no conscience and no humanity. This makes him extremely dangerous, and not just to cats. We have a chance to stop him before he goes on to worse crimes–I hope we do so.
