Tyler Weinman is a Cat Killer From Miami who killed more than 2 dozen cats just in a span of 1 month. The Miami Police was on the lookout for the alleged Killer.
Tyler Weinman was charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body, four counts of burglary and also the two dozen cats case is still under investigation. The reason behind the killing is yet unknown as he has yet respond to his charges.
This really looks weird case to me. It may well be possible that Tyler was fascinated with cats and that’s why he perhaps enjoyed killing or injuring them. But I am happy that his fascination was for cats and not for human beings.

Tyler Weinman is a very disturbed boy that must be in prison for the rest of his life. I wonder if he wouldn,t already killed a child, or by sure in some years in the future he will, because he really enjoys that (just see him!). I hope justice will work and protect the people.

It is sad when I hear things like this a child that is doing things to animals needs to be put in a psych ward and monitored closely. I am also asking myself the questions of where the hell are his parents when all of this is going on. This child has very big issues and they need to be taken care of I am not sure that jail is the answer this is a sick boy that must be treated as suck, this is not a vick incident where the abuse was done for profit.

Animals are innocent creatures who are there to help, love us and be there to listen when no one else will. Anyone who kills a human or animal should be locked up permanently. Let’s not forget, the kid is accused, NOT GUILTY. There has been no evidence provided that he did anything. It’s amazing how most people want to punish this kid and they have yet to see a drop of evidence. In the end justice will prevail and all those people who know nothing about this kid who have nothing but negative comments to say will be the real SICKOS. I live in Houston heard about an aparment complex where barbecued cat remains were found. Someone was cooking them and eating them. Google and see if you find out anymore about this case. I just heard it on the radio briefly, and the announcer said it was not a crime!! Oh I did read somewhere that it is a myth that all serial killers start out killing animals, Some love animals and only kill people!!

To have killed so many animals it is obvious there was some sort of delight or euphoric delight to his actions. This young man is in some need of serious rehabilitation. To say to just get rid of him is not the way of proper justice. He is caught, now it is up to the justice system to hopefully fix him. If he is not fully rehabilitaed god help us, he will only be that much more clever when he is let out back into society.

IF he is truly guilty of these killings – I wouldn’t want him free in my neighborhood! What a warped coward it takes to prey on tamed animals! I would wonder to where his parents thought he went while he was murdering small pets, and throwing it in the face of the families who owned them. I think the person who is guilty of these crimes should serve time – and be required to clean stalls at a animal shelter!! (for at least a month per life taken)

Thank you, Daniel, for the agreement. You can feel sorry for the parents and still wonder where in the world they are during this. My parents wouldn’t let me leave the house without asking me where I was going and checked where I was at. Maybe if the parents could have monitored him more closely this tragedy would not have occurred. On the other hand, he is an adult and good parents can raise terrible children. Overall, let’s just hope he gets a fair trial (that way he can’t turn over his verdict on an appeal) and will sit in prison long enough to find Christ and see the value of all God’s creation.

I am a parent of older kids and REALLY find it offensive when parents are immediately blamed. The parents may not have a clue this is going on, he is eighteen, they can’t shadow him forever. On the other hand maybe the parents are pulling a “Mrs. Olsen” and saying “Not MY Child!”.(Remember Willie on Little House on the Prairie?) Either way this young man needs help.

The people who’ve commented so far are on the right track. I’ve studied a large series of serial killers, and at least a third got their “start” – when they were teenagers — by killing and torturing cats. To torture an animal means you have no compassion. And if you have no compassion, going the next step and torturing and killing people, isn’t so hard. Not all boys (girls don’t do this sort of thing) who torture animals end up serial killers (thank God), but some sure do, and it’s no easy task to treat a kid that does that over and over. Better to keep him away from society. Perhaps in the lion’s den. You know: if you’re gonna mess with cats, pick on one your own size…

With all the news on the worst Serial Killers, they have all started with animals. I agree with the above. How do we know that this kid hasn’t killed a person? If he hasn’t yet, if history is correct it is only a matter of time till he moves on to people! I say lock him away now before he gets the chance!

We need to change the animal cruelty laws so that we can deal with freaks like this. Current laws are inadequate. How come six months is all you get for brutalizing an animal. There are non violent criminals who have been in jail for years.

I hope that a court will order this kid be examined. Is he also fascinated(sic) with fire? The sad thing is is that you can’t ‘cure’ a sociopath which is what serial killers are. If I were a parent in his neighborhood Id be AFRAID for my own children. Most serial killers dont kill until they are in their 20’s but they do commit other crimes that allow them to perfect technique and gain courage, then the bodies start showing up. The scary part is that his eyes show no anger issues which might be the cause. He looks like a sociopath, self assured and smirking. Remember his name and we’ll see him in about 10 years for murder.

Geez. My little boy who is 11 keeps torturing our cat and bird. One day I found him squeezing the parakeet in his hand just to make him sqwawk. I am concerned about my son because he has a habit of hurting little animals.

I definitely understand the reason for your concern. I can not say that i am the expert but you can at least talk to him and tell him to respect animals first. Tell him that they are his friends and they may also help him in case of his need. Just try and tell all the nice things about animals that will make him think before he tries to squeeze the neck of cat or bird. But it’ll alwayz be on a trial and error basis.

I’m reading with interest some of these comments suggesting “talking” to this kid, rehabbing this kid,etc., would matter. It simply won’t.
One can only wonder what he’s done before this..he is 18, you know. And if he gets the chance, he will graduate to bigger, helpless prey. It’s a known fact that this happens, so he is a sicko who needs to be locked up forever even if the parents hurt! They should insist on it…they might be saving their own lives!! Do they want to risk a child’s life, or any person? This is small murders which lead to bigger ones! I wanta know where he is from now on…and not in my neighborhood..he would not survive around some of the animal lovers I know! He’s old enough to know better but his head is screwed on wrong. BTW, to those few of you who think animals and pets have no value, a recent AP poll showed 50% consider pets to be a full member of the family and another 36% consider them at least partial members of the family.
That’s 86% placing quite high value in their pets. So, it doesn’t matter what you think, to them — 19 of them (actually more, several I’m sure were multi-family households) — they were loved members of the family. Members tortured and returned to them dismembered.
This dude is scum. Gets off on the suffering of another (animal or human, getting off on something suffering is SICK), violated 19 families, taunted them, and stole from them. Even if you aren’t a pet person, that’s THEFT. Anyone who steals from 19 people deserves to be locked up for a long time. Then add the cruelty aspect.

This was not something to take lightly and instead of trying to cover up what appears to have been done by this boy, you ought to step back and think that perhaps he did do it. Certainly deserves a fair trial but things do not look very good. If he did do it, he should get what he deserves and freedom should not be on the top of the list.
