Marie Bruce, Tom Tanner, Ben Teague were mercilessly shot dead by George Zinkhan, a University of Georgia teacher. And the most alarming thing about this, George is on the run and police officials have already warned the people to be alert and let them know about this brutal killer.
This is what Police had to say about him, “If you’ve got somebody who’s already shot three people with two handguns, I call that a high level of threat to anyone he comes into contact with”.
Zinkhan is a teacher of marketing and distribution in the Terry College of Business at University Of Georgia.
University Of Georgia (UGA) said on their website,”This is to update the University community on the status of the search for the alleged perpetrator in Saturday afternoon’s shooting deaths of three individuals at a Grady Avenue location off-campus in Athens. Athens-Clarke County Police and all area law enforcement agencies continue their search for George Martin Zinkhan III, 57 years of age, 6-feet three-inches tall, 240 pounds, blue eyes, white male with a goatee, with light brown hair and some graying. Zinkhan is a professor of marketing at the University of Georgia. He was last seen wearing a polo shirt and blue shorts with a backpack. He is thought to be driving a 2005 reddish Jeep Liberty with Georgia tag AIX 1376. He was last seen near his residence on Chesterfield Road in Bogart. Use extreme caution if contact is made. If you know his location or see him call 911. Please do not call 911 seeking information. Please do not call UGA Police asking questions. Only call to provide information that you may have regarding this matter. Police continue to urge members of the University community to use your best judgment in taking precautions while this suspect remains at large.”
University President Michael F. Adams released the following statement regarding this matter: “The University community is shocked and saddened at this tragic event. Our first thoughts are for safety of the community and for prompt apprehension of the person responsible. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of all those who have been affected.”
