The Freddie Mac Chief Financial Officer David Kellerman was found dead at his home apparently what looks like is a suicide at the first attempt, in the morning, April 22, 2009, reported first by WTOP radio in Washington.
It seems like he was a victim of recession as the the struggling mortgage giant, was taken over by the federal government in September.
As Politico reported, “Kellermann, 41, was the acting chief financial officer and senior vice president of Freddie Mac, and he had reported directly to CEO David Moffett, who resigned in March. Moffett, in turn, had only been in his position since September, receiving the job after the federal government took over the ailing company and ousted its leadership.”
John Koskinen, Freddie Mac’s interim CEO confirmed Fredie Mac’s death and said,”His extraordinary work ethic and integrity inspired all who worked with him. But he will be most remembered for his affability, his personal warmth, his sense of humor and his quick wit. David was a friend to many in the Freddie Mac family, and we mourn his passing.”
