The Obama Family recently welcomed a new member into the White house which was much awaited and publicized addition into in their family.
A six month old portuguese water dog named “Bo” was greeted by none other than President Barack Obama alongwith First Lady Michelle Obama, Malia and Sasha Obama.
The Massachusetts senator who presented the puppy to the Obama family said,”We couldn’t be happier to see the joy that Bo is bringing to Malia and Sasha. We love our Portuguese Water Dogs and know that the girls – and their parents – will love theirs too”
This is what President Obama Answered about Bo’s privileges in the white house.
Will Bo have the privileges of Barney, President George W. Bush’s dog, who was allowed in the Oval Office, asked a scribe.
“Of course,” Obama replied.
Will he sleep in a bed?
“Not in my bed,” the president said.
The first dog will have some other privileges too. “We all have to take turns walking the dog,” said Obama as he, First Lady Michelle and First Daughters Malia and Sasha – scampered around with Bo on the South Lawn. “We ‘re trying to be responsible dog owners,” he said.
The Very lucky “Bo” was named after Malia and Sasha’s cousins’ cat. The word “Bo” is also considered as a tribute to their late grandfather who was nicknamed Diddley – as in rock n’ roll legend Bo Diddley.
I am sure for the obama family it must have come as a change amongst the problems of recession.
