if fedreer didn’t win grand slam this year i think he will never do ever.
Nadal, Muray and Gicovic will be stronger.
Federer problem is himself, he should be more out, more adventurer, specially with Nadal.
i think he can win any final if he become more aggressive and determined

@ Jas:- As You said, everyone had tears in their eyes at that moment. We all know that one fine day every champion will have to say bye bye to his professional life, however we don’t want Roger to say goodbye when he is down and out. I am sure he will be back with a bang.

I never liked Roger in all years. so I supported Nadal all the way. But show of uncontrolled emotions changed my thinking in just one second. I really felt bad and was nearly in tears myself. It is such a big thing for him to break the world record. How painful it would have been for him, we cannot even imagine. How attached he is to tennis. His painful departure won him many more fans. Only now I want him to win more slams. From that moment I like him very much. He has won millions hearts. Was it such a defining moment when he cried? did all others feel the same? In one second he became my favorite.

Federer is still the king of tennis. Despite loss he managed peoples’ sympathy for his great effort.

I couldn’t agree with you better. I am also a big fan of Federer and believe that he is the best of all time. However these days i really fear for Federer as Nadal is getting stronger and stronger against him.

I believe there’s nothing wrong in Federer’s game it’s just mental block that he has created after Wimbledon 08 Final.

No. This is not the end of the Federer era. The guy is literally in EVERY major final. People need to cut him some slack. He has been the most dominant tennis player ever to play the game. People just need to adjust to the idea of other people winning as well. Rafa has his number in the last year, but only barely. And his record against Federer in majors is deceiving. 4 of his 6 wins are at the French Open, his specialty They are 2-2 on other surfaces.

Federer is amazing. Allow him to be human. Sampras lost PLENTY of times. And did NOT make the Championship match PLENTY of times. Roger is the final EVERY time. Eventually he had to lose.
