Mickey Rourke was awarded the Best Actor Award for his career-change role as a washed-up athlete in “The Wrestler,” at the British Academy Film Awards 2009.
Mickey looked really happy but shocking when asked to come on the podium to grab the award.
Mickey Said, “I thank my publicist for having the hardest job in showbusiness, telling me where to go, what to do, when to do it, what to eat, how to dress, what to f***…
It’s such a pleasure to be out here, out of the darkness…
I don’t want to forget anybody, my memory’s not that great. I would like to dedicate this to an actor who is not here any more, who was a great friend of mine, and his spirit and talent live on: the great Richard Harris.”
