Kate Moss is turned into “Cleopatra” by pouring gold on herself. Well not literally….an artist called Marc Quinn had created a Solid Gold Statue of Kate Moss called Siren. The Statue would cost you a whopping $2.75 million USD or £1.5 million weighing only 110 pounds.
“Siren” is the work of artist Marc Quinn whose most famous sculpture was Alison Lapper Pregnant which appeared on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. Marc Quinn was quite excited about his creation and said, “I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who’s the ideal beauty of the moment.”
The 110 pound statue will on display in Nereid Gallery of the British Museum, alongside other statues such as Crouching Venus, a Hellenistic model of Venus surprised while bathing. The statue created of Kate Moss has a Yoga Pose and is a part of collection Statuephilia by contemporary artists. This is second time that marc has used Kate as his icon as previously he had already created “Sphinx” using her.
