Beyonce Knowles set a new record by winning six Grammy Awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards and it’s a new record for the most wins by a female performer at the prestigious show. She was not far behind acknowledging her husband rapper Jay-Z for his support.
She said,”I’d love to thank my family for all of their support, including my husband. I love you.”

Lady GAGA was indeed the talk of the town at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31 as she donned the weirdest dress that she could and also opened the big night with a pants-less performance of ‘Poker Face’ before one of her backup dancers dumped her into a “Rejected” bin. She emerged covered in ashes and sat down at a duel piano across from…Sir Elton John!
Elton John is said to have customized the lyrics for their remix of “Your Song”: “How wonderful life is with Gaga in the world!” But the night would be remembered the dress that lady gaga was wearing. She wore a spiky, silver headdress and matching shimmering gown on the red carpet.
Taylor Swift also didn’t forget to leave her mark as she won a Grammy Award for the “Album of the Year” category at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31 and guess what… the teenage sensation seemed quite shocked at her accomplishment.
She said,”Ahh, this is album of the year. Oh wow! Thank you so much. I just hope that you know how much this means to me – that we get to take this back to Nashville. This is for my dad. Thank you for all those times you said I could do whatever I wanted in life. And to my mom, you’re my best friend.”
Taylor was nominated for a total of 8 grammy awards, out of which she won the three grammy awards for Best Country Song, Best Country Album and Album of the Year.
Jim Carrey was honored along with Ewan McGregor at the prestigious National Order of Arts and Letters at the Ministry of Culture in Paris, France on Monday, February 1, when they were made Knights. The duo quite shocked the audience out there when they kissed each other which was also their way to promote their upcoming film which deals with gay romance, named “I Love You Phillip Morris.”
French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand was auite impressed with the duo when he said,”I love you Jim Carrey! I love you Ewan McGregor!”
It was also an emotional night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31 as Michael Jackson’s children went on to accept a “Lifetime Award” on behalf of Michael on Sunday night as Prince Michael and Paris hold each others hand. It was quite an emotional night for them as they almost choked while giving an acceptance speech, however they did really well for their age.
This was their first appearance in public since their father’s memorial service. They said,”We’re proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson. First we’d like to thank God for watching over us for these past seven months and our Grandma and Grandpa for their love and support. We’d also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much since you were always there for him. Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was gonna perform but he couldn’t perform last year,” said a teary Paris. “Thank you, we love you Daddy. “

Katy Perry sizzled at the 2010 Annual Grammy Awards as she appeared in a skin colored Zac Posen gown with fiance Russell Brand who wore a suit. Katy also donned a jewel in the middle of her forehead.
Katy looked quite happy about it and said,”I have this whole kind of India thing because we just came back from India a couple of weeks ago.” She also gave some hint that her boyfriend might propose her for marriage.

Miss America 2009 Katie Stam is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend Brian Irk at The Planet Hollywood Towers on Friday night, January 29, 2010. It was a very unique way by which Mr. Irk popped up the question. He just got down on his knees with more than 600 guests looking at her for approval.
Katie looked really happy with the proceedings and said,”I started hyperventilating because I was so excited. He dropped down on one knee and he said ‘I love you so much. Will you be my Miss America forever?” She further clarified,”This morning, I pulled my hand up from underneath the covers and stared at my ring for a little bit.”
They’ll have a wedding in Indianapolis this fall if everything’s remain normal.
